Meeting at Bishan MRT (Exit A)

We'll be heading to Gunung Datuk for a nice morning hike, followed by our Malacca 'eat, shop, massage' stopover before heading to Muar (Otah of course) for great hawker food & sightseeing as well as visiting a nice Old Fishing Village & enjoying a Hot-spring before we head back to SIN. How's that for a awesome 5 in 1 Weekend Adventure!
Gunung Datuk, rising at slightly above 800 metres. is definitely one of the most scenic mountains to hike for all who love a breath-taking 360 degree unblock view at the summit. The feeling of awe and accomplishment once you reach the top is simply euphoric. As you await the break of dawn, the mist dissipating and the majestic sunrise slowly appearing over the horizon, you cannot help but tell yourself - this is life and what beauty is all about!

To catch this breath-taking Gunung Datuk sunrise view, we will start our hike during the darkness of night. It is such an interesting experience over streams, crevices, boulders while enjoying the quietness and stillness of the night. You will need to have a headlamp during the hike up. It is also recommended that you have a good warm jacket at the summit as it can be quite cold and chilly in the early hours of the morning.

And the best thing to do after an awesome hike? Food! We'll be chilling at the historical town of Malacca for lots of good nyonya food, shopping, desserts, massage and merry making. Chendol & Peranakan delicacies here we come!
  • Total of 4.8km of night trekking up Gunung Datuk (hiking grade 2)
  • City tour of the historical town of Malacca including Jonker Street food trail
